Greg Raab Director of Consulting Operations for Adjusters International, was asked to serve as a panelist at the New York State Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Forum in October. The event was held at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany, and drew a large crowd from all over the state and beyond. This forum focused on government contracts, and was designed to show MWBEs where the contract opportunities are and how to win them.

As a panel member for one of the Roundtable discussions, Raab talked about the challenges and solutions designed to increase participation of minority and women-owned firms on New York State projects. With him on the panel were State leaders from Department of Transportation, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and the Governor's Office of Storm Recovery.

"The panel was able to provide the audience of MWBE business owners with more than just rhetoric on the merits of New York State's MWBE program," explained Raab. "They shared insights on specific markets and projects that are releasing bids, specific funding sources to research, specific RFP requirements to prepare for, and specific web sites to visit to gain proposal information. Business owners left the panel discussion with takeaways to implement immediately."
